Reliable report of the Inhabitants still Living at New Ebenezer, as well as of those who have Deceased since the year 1734, as they were Compiled and Transmitted by the two Pastors on 19 May 1739.3

We have been requested to send back, in letters or in our diary, a report of our parishioners who are still living. Because at this time, since we are hoping for a new transport, it is especially necessary to know how many inhabitants are still alive at Ebenezer, we wish to add to our diary a catalogue of both the living and the deceased persons of our congregation. Many are still wanting, if the number of 300 Salzburgers, which the Praiseworthy Society has resolved to receive, is to be filled.

In addition to this we both (especially I, because I had the industrious Peter Heinrich, who died before the harvest) had some increase in corn, beans, rice, and sweet potatoes, which, however, is not calculated in the above total. N.B. An English bushel contains 32 quarts, the quart being reckoned as 2 pounds of corn or beans.
